September 6, 2014---We met at the Lion's Club shelter in Bristol, Virginia's Sugar Hollow park.
Maureen shared her insights from our spring surveys.
The areas of success included the following:
1. The majority of us have been in education for more than 20 years.
2. Many of us have advanced degrees.
3. Most of us came to Delta Kappa Gamma with the idea of networking and enjoying the company of fellow key women educators.
The areas needing improvement that she identified after reading the surveys were as follows:
1. We need to invite more key women educators to attend our meetings and become
members of the organization.
2. We need to mentor our new members more actively.

Our dear May Jo Craig died in June, 2014. Several of us attended her funeral and participated in the Remembrance ceremony at her graveside. All of Alpha Zeta remembers her fondly. A contribution was made in memory of May Jo to the DKG World Fellowship Fund.
