Happy St. Patrick's Day!
March, 2021:
It's a ZOOM meeting for Alpha Zeta, tonight, and a fun one at that!
May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!
--an old Irish blessing

President Cynthia opens the meeting wearing her St. Patrick's Day gear. Looking good!
Many thanks to Glenna H, Iota State's Executive Secretary, for setting up our Zoom meeting!
Here are the attendees--with the exception of Kathy M who left for a second. We spent a few minutes catching up with one another. It was such a delight to see those maskless faces!
Thought for the Day
Maureen M had the "Thought for the Day." She talked about the history of St. Patrick and some of the symbolism associated with Christianity in Ireland. Maureen has visited Ireland on several occasions.
Some of the symbols she mentioned were water, circles, and pilgrimages. She was able to visit County Donegal and walk the 10-mile path of one of the historic pilgrimage trails.
Maureen showed images of piles of stones along the pilgrimage path. One takes a stone, prays over it, and adds it to the pile. Frequently, the stones are found around springs, considered holy places.
She closed her "Thought for the Day" with a poem from the Carmina Gadelica, a collection of hymns, blessings, prayers, and proverbs.
Our Activity: Lucky Bingo!
